The PM has issued a Directive asking ministries, agencies and localities to take drastic measures to prevent and control prostitution.

PM Nguyen Tan Dung asked ministries, agencies and localities to do research and figure out obstacles in the current legal framework relating to prostitution prevention and control, propose sanctions to deal with prostitution violations and work out suitable policies to help fomer prostitutes integrate into the community.

He required the Ministry of Public Security to cooperate with the Ministry of Information and Telecommunication to identify areas and objects related to prostitution and strengthen investigation and treatment to criminals related to prostitution.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Health are requested to inspect and check businesses to prevent pornography behaviors.
