Diversified activities take care of pupils, students during Youth Month 2017

In late March, the journey of the Youth Month 2017 was continued with a variety of significant activities, especially in taking care of pupils and students in the province.

Particularly, provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee held a festival on examination season consultancy and vocational orientation for high-school pupils. The festival absorbed more than 1,200 pupils from high schools and continuing education centers. It took place very animatedly with 13 booths from universities in and out of the province, including TDM University, Eastern International University, Binh Duong University, Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology, Vietnam-Germany University, Saigon Tourism College and Japan’s Murayama school.

With practical activities on examination season consultancy and vocational orientation, the festival contributed to helping pupils get useful information before the threshold of entering universities in order to be ready for making their dreams.

Additionally, provincial Young Pioneer Organization (YPO) in collaboration with TDM city’s YPO branch organized a festival “Joyful and healthy children-Advancing towards the Youth Union” for the 2016-2017 academic year at Phu My secondary school in TDM city.

The festival featured a parade and a stage program on hero Ly Tu Trong in celebration of the 86th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and YPO also gave a symbolic cheque worth VND50million from Kymco Vietnam Company for the locality to build an entertainment area for children. Besides, provincial Police Agency’s Youth Union donated VND50million to provincial YPO in order to construct a “red scarf” house for poor-but-excellent pupils in TDM city. Moreover, provincial Student Association kicked off a “Student with 5 good points” forum with focus on disseminating the Politburo’s Directive No.05-CT/TW dated May 15 and the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee’s Directive No.42-CT/TW for more than 600 students at province-based universities and colleges. The forum contributed to equipping the local students with knowledge on healthcare, business start-up and the Party, State’s guidelines and policies.

Provincial Youth Center also organized the 19th provincial traditional volleyball tournament for students. The tournament absorbed 10 teams from universities, colleges and junior colleges in the province. In addition, the center held the 12th provincial traditional swimming tournament, attracting 12 units with 117 athletes across the province.

The center’s above-mentioned activities aimed to create useful playgrounds for adolescents, contributing to promoting the local sports movement.
