Binh Duong has focused all resources to improve infrastructure, develop industrial zones to connect transportation in the Southern Key Economic Region, meeting the production and business requirements of domestic and foreign enterprises. As a result, the province has attracted large projects, in line with the province's investment attraction orientation and industrial development planning.
Up to now, Binh Duong has 29 concentrated industrial parks (IPs). In particular, the most successful industrial park model is Vietnam - Singapore (VSIP) - a joint venture between Becamex IDC and Singapore partners. Up to now, VSIP has been replicated to 9 provinces and cities across the country, and the VSIP model is becoming a successful "symbol" of development cooperation.
Currently, the flow of investment capital into industry is very large. Namely, FDI attraction with more than 4,000 projects with a capital of nearly 40 billion USD; domestic investment attraction is also notable with more than 60,000 projects of enterprises, with nearly 30 billion USD. However, up to now, investment capital in provincial industrial zones has mainly come from Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan (China), but has not attracted many large investors from Europe. Therefore, the project of Lego (Denmark) is a new "green milestone" in FDI inflows into Binh Duong in particular. The fact that the famous Lego enterprise chooses Binh Duong as a destination is expected to stimulate FDI growth, and at the same time increase the reputation of Binh Duong among investors, especially investors from Europe.
According to economic experts, in order to attract more large investors, Binh Duong not only needs to have large-scale industrial zones but also has to do well many elements of transport and logistics infrastructure, warehouses, ICDs, administrative procedures ... In particular, localities need to prepare high-quality, professional and skilled human resources for high-tech professions. Because the current top priority in industrial zones is the fields of creating products with high technology and gray matter content, reducing labor-intensive fields.
In order to continue attracting investment, improving competitiveness and strengthening support for the development of investment enterprises in the province, Binh Duong is making efforts to improve the socio-economic infrastructure system. In addition to enhancing infrastructure construction, drastically improving the investment environment, improving the quality of human resources... the construction and development of the industrial zone system is always put on top by Binh Duong and receives a lot of resources for implementation.
