With the efforts by the local entire political system, Phu Giao district’s public relations work have continued upholding its efficiency, contributing to victoriously carrying out the local tasks on socio-economic development, national defence and security.

From new rural construction…

Phu Giao is an agricultural district, so the national target on new rural construction is seen as a great goal of the district for new rebound. Over the past six year, the district mobilized people and businesses to make contributions worth more than VND1trillion to the program.

To Van Dat, Vice-Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee cum Head of the district’s Steering Board of the Program on New Rural Construction said that over the past time, the district’s public relations work in close association with propaganda created a positive change in awareness and action of the local government and people from all strata about the new rural construction program. From this, the district mobilized all resources to implement the program under the motto of “State and people work together”.

Thanks to public relations well realized, An Binh, one of the district’s large and crowded communes has so far mobilized people and businesses to construct, upgrade 103 rural roads with a total length of more than 103.84km; upgrade 26 power lines with a total value of more than VND1.5billion…

They also donated land valued at more than VND 9.5billion to building schools, hamlets’ offices… while contributing money, building materials, working days to constructing and upgrading 54 houses of compassions worth more than VND1.3billion for needy families.

As a result, after six years of implementing the program, the district’s socio-economic image has had obvious changes. The district’s new rural communes have had spacious and synchronous investment with the lives of people improved constantly. So far, the district has had a total of 8 out of 10 communes recognized as new rural ones and it is striving to become a new rural district in 2020.

…to civilized city

Phu Giao district has also focused on urban rejuvenation along with new rural construction.

It is known that over the past time, the district’s urban rejuvenation obtained positive results, thanks to people’s consensus. This task contributed to helping Phuoc Vinh township look nicer and cleaner, creating an important foundation for it to become a fourth-class city by 2020.

From the “clever” public relations movement, people in the district have also excelled at civilized urban construction. Pham Hai Dang, Vice-Secretary of Phuoc Vinh township’s Party Committee said that over the past time, the local authorities and mass organizations at all levels bend on disseminating and mobilizing people to practice civilized urban lifestyle and reached results in this field.

Also thanks to well realizing public relations work, other localities in the district, especially new rural communes took fruits in urban rejuvenation, helping their rural image get civilized, beautiful and clean...
