Di An City strives for wastewater connection rate to reach 50% by 2025

On May 23, Di An City People's Committee held a conference to collect people's opinions on wastewater treatment connections in the city.

According to a report from Urban Management Office of Di An City, in recent times, city authorities have made many efforts to propagate and encourage people to connect domestic wastewater to the collection and treatment system. Up to now, 7,814/25,969 connection boxes have been connected to wastewater treatment in the city (reaching 30.09%).

At the conference, citizens expressed many opinions related to problems, support policies, construction permits... when connecting domestic wastewater to households and boarding houses. People's opinions were received and answered by leaders of the City People's Committee.

Speaking at the conference, Vo Van Hong, Chairman of Di An City People's Committee, said that implementing the domestic wastewater treatment connection not only brings benefits to the people but also contributes to environmental protection, improving the quality of water resources and building a civilized, green, clean and beautiful Di An urban area. City leaders asked people to join hands to increase the wastewater connection rate with the goal of reaching 50% by 2025, reaching 80% by 2030.
