Engineer Officer School - Ngo Quyen University: Celebrating the 60th foundation anniversary and receiving the third-class Fatherland Defense Medal

Morning Dec 26, Engineer Officer School - Ngo Quyen University celebrated the 60^th foundation anniversary (Dec 26 1955 - Dec 26 2015) and received the third-class Fatherland Defense Medal conferred by the State. Attending the ceremony were Superior General Truong Quang Khanh, member of the Central Party, member of the Central Military Committee, Deputy Minister of Defense; Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee.

Reviewing the 60-year tradition, the school made great contributions to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland; building and developing Vietnam People's Army and engineer corps, contributing to the cause of education - training, industrialization - modernization in the region and Binh Duong province.

The school has trained tens of thousand of professional cadres and technical personnel with strong political spirit, good moral qualities, technical qualifications, high tactics, being ready to undertake and complete tasks. Many officials, teachers, students of the school were engaged in combating, serving and making achievements; many cadres became generals, assistant professor, Doctors of Philosophy,  excellent pedagogues, senior officers in the Army and the Party, State. The school also fulfilled international duties to train hundreds of military officer of Lao and Cambodian army.

Speaking at the ceremony, Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, said: “To promote the achievement from building, combating, and maturing, Engineer Officer School - Ngo Quyen University will definitely gain greater achievements in the future, successfully complete all tasks assigned by the Party, State, army and people”.
