Enjoying spring excitedly and safely

Due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic, cultural activities in celebration of the Party and Lunar New Year 2022 took place under unfavorable conditions. However, many meaningful cultural activities were organized by the sector of culture, sports and tourism with safety for Covid-19, prevention and control ensured people’s demand for enjoying the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.

Many meaningful spring activities

In order to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere during the Tet holiday, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism jointly organized a series of meaningful cultural activities for people.

At the park of ​​Binh Duong new city, many activities, including the Spring Flower Street, the Spring Flower Festival, the Spring Newspaper Festival, together with exhibitions for people took place from January 29 to February 4, 2022 (from December 27 to January 4 of lunar calendar).

With the theme of "Binh Duong with convergence of spring colors", the 2022 Spring Flower Street included 7 clusters of miniature landscapes, namely "Brilliant spring", "Binh Duong-wing to fly high", "Binh Duong-25 years of development", "Future aspirations", "National sea and islands", "Binh Duong Spring”...The miniature landscapes had a combination of traditional, modern elements together with integration and development from Binh Duong now and then, creating a continuous series of miniatures, attracting visitors. Prominent among them was the miniature landscape of "Binh Duong-25 years of development" with the message of a Binh Duong homeland having a favorable living and working environment for all people.

In the open space of the spring flower street, activities such as spring flower festival, spring newspaper festival with cultural activities, works imbued with Tet colors contributed to creating a spring atmosphere together with more meaningful playgrounds for all people when coming here to enjoy spring…

Ho Thi Lieu, worker for a company in Thuan An-based VSIP 1 from Thua Thien - Hue province said that due to Covid-19 pandemic, this year she did not return to hometown to celebrate Tet with her family. Staying in Binh Duong for Tet, she and her roommates visited, enjoyed spring and joined in spring activities in the open space of this year's spring flower street. She shared: "This year's Spring Flower Street is very beautiful with many cultural activities for visitors to join in. There are also many beautiful flowers, ornamental plants, miniatures for visitors to take pictures with friends. Therefore, I see the Tet holiday away from home are still warm and complete."

Diverse recreational programs

With the desire of bringing spiritual gifts to the audience and people on New Year's Eve, a special art performance was held at provincial Arts and Culture Center on the evening of January 31. With the theme of "Celebrating the glorious Party, celebrating the new spring 2022", the program included special theatrical items such as: Dedication to the Party, Song of Faith, songs about joyful, meaningful spring…Besides, there were items about spring in Binh Duong. Participating in the program were singers such as Bao Yen Rosie, Nhu Y, Dan Truong, Trung Quang... and provincial traditional art troupe. The program was broadcasted live on  BTV1 channel.

In order to serve people’s demand for entertainment on the occasion of the traditional Tet festival, Binh Duong Radio - Television Station implemented many attractive programs. For example, music programs included Happy Spring, Spring Dance, Beloved Thu Dau Mot, Spring of Sharing - Tet of Love, Binh Duong with Spring Song...Besides, there were also many programs on folk music, Artist's Village, documentaries and reportages on Tet holiday in Binh Duong. In addition, many people chose to enjoy programs through the YouTube channel of BTV. Here, many spring songs, TV game shows, and music videos by artists were loved by many people and attracted many views.

Nguyen Khoa Hai, Director of provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DoCST) said that compared to previous years, activities in celebration of the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Tiger 2022 in Binh Duong took place in an unfavorable context amid the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic. Many cultural, sports, tourism activities and festivals must be suspended to ensure pandemic prevention and control. However, with the consent of the Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee of the major holidays of the province, provincial DoCST has organized and coordinated with units to organize a series of meaningful cultural activities to meet people’s demand for enjoying spring.

Although not being too exciting, this year's spring activities were also very meaningful for all people. When participating in activities in celebration of the Lunar New Year, all people must comply with regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control for the health of themselves, their families and the community. The Tet holiday 2022 with meaningful and healthy celebrations passed, contributing to creating more confidence, excitement and encouragement for all people to further strive to maintain the local results in the fight against pandemic, emulate in production to help Binh Duong further fly in the future.
