Ensure the synchronous, modern and sustainable development of industrial parks

On March 15, the Management Board of Provincial Industrial Parks held a conference to summarize works in 2023 and set forth tasks in 2024. Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly delegation, attended the conference. Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mai Hung Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, also attended the conference.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi stresses that the Management Board of Binh Duong Industrial Parks needs to develop a specific plan to implement the province's 2024 growth target.

In 2023, the national and provincial economies suffered a "double impact" from unfavorable factors, many difficulties and challenges, but under the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee, the coordination of branches and localities, and the efforts of the business community, provincial industrial parks were maintained stability and developed according to the set orientation. Industrial parks attracted 5,780 billion VND of domestic investment capital, reaching 482% of the plan, and 1.22 billion USD of foreign investment capital, reaching 100% of the annual plan...

In 2024, the Binh Duong Industrial Parks’ Management Board aims to attract 130 - 140 foreign investment projects into industrial parks, with a total investment capital of 1.2 - 1.3 billion USD; attract 1,100 - 1,200 billion VND of domestic investment capital; Construction investment capital to reach 5,700 billion VND; leasing and subleasing land of 100 - 150 hectares; attract 15,000 workers; total revenue of 35 - 40 billion USD. Besides, the units advise and promote the establishment and development of about 10 more industrial parks in the 2023-2030 period...

Speaking at the conference, Loi said that in 2024, the economic situation is forecast to still have many difficulties and instability, so the Management Board of Binh Duong Industrial Parks needs to develop a specific plan to implement the province's 2024 growth target; closely coordinate with departments, branches and localities in implementing tasks, especially removing difficulties and obstacles, and supporting investment for investors and businesses. Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi emphasized that Binh Duong is steadfast in its sustainable development strategy. The province is promoting adjustment of planning of industrial parks in a specialized, smart, ecological, synchronous and modern direction.
