Enterprises no longer in solitude but no wide open

The 4-year-old associations of industries in the province has succeeded in connecting enterprises in atmosphere of experience sharing and supporting; however, limitations and drawbacks remain. Exhibition of woodwork production at International Fair of Woodwork in Ho Chi Minh City Under Decision No. 671/QD-UBND dated March 10th 2008 by Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee, the authority approved plan for development of industry associations to connect enterprises in production industries. The financial policies was approved to ensure operation of the new-born associations.By the end of 2011, Department of Industry and Trade has facilitated to establish 4 associations of sculpture and lacquer, textile, woodwork, and pottery, prompting a club of importers and exporters to be established in May 2008 with 156 members.After establishment, the associations have supported and connected enterprises and production units in forums of experience sharing and exchanging of technology and management skills. The forum also hosts enterprise protection against commercial disputes by helping them with arbitration. In the meantime, the associations are liaison with the State in planning and policy implementation, especially, in the stage of global integration.The website of associations is also a channel for updating information to support members in business and production. In general, the member enterprises are in unity in the same home.However, the associations are not backed with legal regulations for the decision under Decree No. 45/2010/ND-CP dated April 21st 2010 of the government is only on management without legal regulations.
