Entrepreneurs choose coffee shop for their meeting preparing for a club establishment

A warm weekend atmosphere in a coffee shop, what was put on coffee table was contents of a forum on management and direction to exchange and share experience of sustainable enterprise management. Hosted the forum was Association for the youth in Thu Dau Mot town. Hung Vuong Insurance JSC Vice General Director Pham Hi Phuc stressed that the event is a preparation for establishment of a club for young entrepreneurs in Thu Dau Mot Town.

 

 

A glimpse of activities of club for entrepreneurs

 

Participants were informed in advance the content of the mentioned event jointly sponsored by North American Education Group, U&I Investment JSC and many young entrepreneurs working in Binh Duong.

 

“As private enterprises, before any investment decision, we should not only prepare capital but also accumulate experience, knowledge and passion of the business line we are going to invest. Initially, business seems to be fluent but upon development in couples of year later, we would have not enough time to manage problems emerged. Some would fall to supernatural beliefs some would rush for advisors to turn around. Enterprises would develop and would go bankrupt without a warning,” commonly shared participants.

 

Meantime, work of a CEO, who is appointed or actually hired to manage the enterprise in line with resolutions and plans carried out by board of directors, is of much burden.

 

Trying to tackle such issues, Dr. Do Van Khoi, Chairman of North American Education Group, initiate work in small groups discussing how to portrait a Chief Executive officer or CEO. As a result of discussion, CEO was pictured into two distinctive groups; in one group, CEO is powerful and admired by lower positions who desire to work in CEO position for once; another group drew a picture of a ‘polygynous marriage’ of CEO to involved departments, working in a family-like environment with better understanding and sharing.

 

By connecting the two pictures, CEO are strictly chosen basing on ability, morality, experience and relationship in return for power, high income and other chances of achievements. Because of this, no CEO has working time exceeding 2 financial years (4 years assigned to a CEO). Meantime, lack of human resources for CEO has making the position not qualified enough, which has occurred tens to hundreds of years before in developed countries.

 

“A good leader is who does not need to act in a battle but know how to promote ability of his people and co-workers,” said Pham Hi Phuc.

 

“Majority of problems we are facing are the equality. In reality, managing officers in private enterprises are offered with higher payments and allowance; therefore, not transparent or not public payments will cause disputes which may lose time to settle down. A good CEO is who know how to unite departments in a company to make up a strong community. This requires CEO not only leadership ability but also strategic and analytic vision to discover and prevent short-term and long-term risks which are eliminated partially thanks to ISO, HACCP, GLOBAL and other managing standards. The rest is managing art with frequent exchange of experience in clubs and associations that we are promoting to establish,” said Dr. Do Van Khoi.
