On the afternoon of August 8, Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee received and worked with Maija Seppala, Development Policy Counselor, Embassy of Finland in Hanoi on preparations for public investment support of the Government of Finland for a wastewater treatment project in Ben Cat town.
At the working session, Mrs. Maija Seppala said that after receiving the request of Binh Duong province for capital support to build a wastewater collection and treatment system in Ben Cat town, the Finnish Government has said ok to the policy to finance public investment capital for Binh Duong province to implement the project. It is expected that by the end of 2023, this policy will be submitted to the Government of Vietnam for approval. And in 2024, the project will be signed for capital support and implemented.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Dung said that Binh Duong province has effectively used the Official Development Assistance (ODA) capital of the Government of Finland in waste treatment, contributing to the local environmental protection.
He also thanked the Government of Finland for further agreeing to the policy of support ODA to implement the wastewater treatment project in Ben Cat town while expressing his belief that the project will contribute to improving the province's capacity for environmental treatment and wastewater treatment in association with the development of green growth goals…
