To prevent fire, spreading of fire, Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department (FPFPD) keeps propagandizing, improving awareness of industrial zone’s investors, business managers, and households; simultaneously, persuading people to voluntarily make commitment to ensure fire safety… Leaders of FPFPD, Industrial parks’ Management Board witnessed business managers signing commitments of fire safety assurance According to Deputy Director of (FPFPD) Colonel Le Anh Viet, damages caused by fire within the province tend to be complex, especially, fires occurring at Sacombank base depot, Dong Hung Company at Song Than I industrial park in Di An town, caused significant losses of properties. Due to favorable environment, enterprises have developed manufacturing, notably enterprises in garment, wood, leather shoes industry. However, these enterprises have used dangerous materials, huge production lines with high energy consumption, old electricity system etc. which contain fire dangers. Mr. Viet also said, with the goal of “prevention is the main task”, the Department committed to strengthening propaganda in order to restrain fires at the minimum level, especially in provincial industrial parks.The Department has cooperated with other agencies to instruct businesses, households to implement provincial People’s Committee’s directions of fire prevention and fighting. Deputy Director of FPFPD Colonel Nguyen Van Dut said, propaganda helps shaping evolvement in awareness, actions and sense of responsibilities of people, spreading movement of fire prevention and fighting among the community…During the first 9 months, the Department organized 4,283 inspections of fire safety, reported 17,890 cases of violations. In addition, the Department has given training of fire prevention and fighting to businesses, directed businesses to complete fire safety measures, and organized practices of escaping, firefighting, rescuing at least one time per year in order to make fire prevention and fighting forces at grassroots level ready for fire incidents.Reported by D.Chi – Translated by Ngoc Huynh
