First provincial street food festival absorbs over 40 booths on wood products, lacquare wares, pottery items and dishes

On the evening of December 22, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism kicked off the first provincial Street Food Festival 2018 at Bach Dang park in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Cuong ward, in attendance of Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People’s Council together with representatives of sectors, departments in the province.

The festival included 40 booths on wood products, lacquare wares, pottery items, dishes…from cultural-sports units in the province. Noticeably, the province’s good dishes like My Lien bloating fern-shaped cakes, Lai Thieu grilled meat rolls, clean fruits of North Tan Uyen and Dau Tieng…were introduced at the festival.

With the theme of “Good dishes at weekend”, the festival aimed to develop new tourism products in order to absorb more tourists in and out of the province while popularizing the local cultural values and food features.
