On August 12, the Provincial Police held a conference to expound a plan for mobilizing forces to strengthen patrols, control, and handle violations of traffic order and safety on traffic routes. Colonel Ngo Xuan Phu, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, chaired the conference.
According to the plan, the Provincial Police will establish four patrol squads to collaborate with local Traffic Police forces to focus on controlling National Highway 13, My Phuoc - Tan Van, DT741, DT743B, DT744, DT746 roads. Patrol time is 24/24 hours, focusing on peak hours, morning from 6-8am, afternoon from 6-11pm.
The Traffic Police will handle violations that are direct causes of traffic accidents, such as: violations of alcohol concentration, speed, drugs; driving in the wrong lane or section of the road; stopping, parking, changing direction, changing lanes in violation of regulations; not complying with traffic lights, signs, and road markings; oversized, overloaded, "extended" vehicles; vehicles that have expired inspection or are no longer in use.
Colonel Ngo Xuan Phu emphasized that officers performing their duties must strictly comply with legal regulations, work procedures, the People's Public Security Regulations, and behavioral culture when interacting with the people. Handling of violations must ensure strictness, "no forbidden areas, no exceptions", strictly prohibit intervention or accept intervention in handling violations.
The patrol plan will be implemented from August 12 until a new plan is available.
