Provincial Women’s Union grandly held a get-together to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union and praise its officials over periods on the morning of Oct.18.

 At the get-together, participants reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women in general and women in Binh Duong in particular over the past 80 years. They also highlighted achievements done by women in Binh Duong in national construction and defence while sharing valuable experience in women’s movements…

 On this occasion, the Vietnam Women’s Union Central Committee conferred the mementoes “For women’s development” to 119 outstanding individuals and gave 5 gifts for needy officials. Provincial People’s Committee also awarded the certificates of merit to 80 women who have got involved in the union’s activities over 30 years; 4 collectives and individuals who have made contributions to the movements of building compassion houses for poor women.

 Provincial Women’s Union also mobilized individuals and collectives to raise funds for flood-hit people in the central region with VND22mln collected.
