Get-together to celebrate VFA’s 92nd anniversary held

A get-together to mark the 92^nd founding anniversary of the Vietnam Farmers Association (VFA) (October 14, 1930 - October 14, 2022) was held in Tan Uyen town on the morning of October 11.

The get-together was attended by  Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; former leaders of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc provinces, former leaders of the Farmers Associations of the two localities over periods.

Over the past time, the Farmers ‘Associations of the two provinces closely coordinated and shared experience in their farmers ‘movements and activities; set up and replicated effective models on strengthening social welfare work, supporting members and farmers in border areas; supporting members of Binh Duong provincial Farmers Association to overcome difficulties, due to the Covid-19 pandemic…

At the get-together, provincial People's Association awarded the medal "For the Vietnamese peasantry" of the VFA Central Committee to 11 individuals; presented the “Excellent Farmer in Binh Duong” award 2022 to 11 farmers with excellent achievements in the movement of “good farmer in production and business”. Along with that, provincial Farmers Association donated VND50million of health insurance to members with difficult circumstances in Binh Phuoc province. The Farmers Associations of the two provinces also received scholarships worth VND20million from Huynh Nga, former Chairwoman of Song Be provincial Farmers Association for the offspring of members with difficult circumstances.
