Early August 30, a get-together was solemnly held in Binh Duong Province to mark the 68th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day of Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2). Medals are awarded to all-time revolutionists Attending the get-together was plenum of leaders of Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, departments, sectors, and unions, and heroic mothers, all-time veteran revolutionist, and all-time former leaders of Song Be and Binh Duong. A the get-together, Mr. Le Thanh Cung, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chair of Provincial People’s Committee reviewed the heroic tradition of the people by stating the righteous leadership of the Party and our victorious uprisings against colonial invasion to create a democratic republic of Vietnam after August Revolution.In Thu Dau Mot, the uprisings had been well prepared to thoroughly retrieve the government on August 25, 1945.In 68 years, local people of Binh Duong and nationwide have protected the nation and built up a homeland through hardship and challenges.Especially, after the re-establishment of Binh Duong Province in 1997, the once lowly constructed and in poverty of Song Be Province had been transformed to an energeticly developing locality thanks to the constant reforms and promotion of comparative advantages and attraction of investment.In the 8 years of 2013, in the face of global economic downturn, harmonious measures have been taken to stabilize the economy to gain reasonable growth rate and inflation control.Central duties in cultural and social sectors have been under good care and advancement.National defense, security, social orders have been maintained.The above achievements were thanks to unity and moving forward efforts of local Party Committee, authority, armed force, and people of Binh Duong Province, creating a requisite lesson for the new sustainable and developing stages.On the occasion, Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee awarded 65-year, 50-year Party admission medals, Medals of Independence, and Labor decorations to all-time leaders.Previously, the delegates of local Party Committee, authority, fatherland front committee, the armed force, unions, and the people have visited and offered flowers to Provincial Martyr Monument.Reported by Hoa Nhan – Translated by Vi Bao
