Motivation for emulation

Over the past years, provincial Farmers’Association and its branches promoted the “good farmer in production-businesss” emulation movement. This was seen as one of the association’s major emulation movements with strong pervasion on many aspects. The emulation movement created a motivation for the local farmers to actively work, change their plant and animal structure, helping uphold each locality’s advantages. The local farmers also bravely applied sci-tech advancements into production, made coherence in production for better development…

It is known that over the past three years alone, developing “good farmer in production-business” models with hi-economic efficiency continued being implemented by provincial Farmers’Association and its branches. Particularly, they actively worked with relevant units and enterprises to open seminars, training courses for tens of thousand of farmers. Through these seminars, training courses, the local farmers were supplied with more than 300 tons of fertilizer, animal feed, pesticide, nurslings, breeding animals valued at hundreds of billion of VND for production.

Provincial Farmers’Associatiobn also coordinated with provincial Department of Science and Technology organized 6 training courses on intellectual property and geographic guidance for 330 farmers. In addition, the association teamed up with relevant units to take part in trade fairs on agricultural products annually organized by the Central Committee of Vietnam Farmers’Association.

Such these apart, provincial Farmers’Association over the past three years offered help to needy members via many forms. For example, the association provided 4,346 farmers with non-interest rate loans; supported nurslings, breeding animals and agricultural materials for them with a total value of nearly VND65billion. The association also coordinated with relevant units to help 609 farmers escape poverty, contributing to reducing the rate of the local poor households.

Billionaire farmers

From the “good farmer in production-business” emulation movement, many farmers in the province have got rich with large-scale models, generating jobs for rural laborers and securing the annual revenue of hundreds of million of VND to billions of VND .

For example, Lam Thanh Thong, residing in Hieu Liem commune’s Chanh Hung hamlet in North Tan Uyen district is very successful in growing citrus fruit trees with the annual revenue of VND20billion. His orange and tengerine farm is around 120 hectares with the average output of 30-40 tons per hectare.

It is known that his farm now generates jobs for 180 laborers with the avarage income of VND5million and above per person per month. Along with business activities, he has also actively got involved in the local socio-charity activities and movements.

Or, Cao Van Chinh, residing in An Lap commune’s Phu Binh hamlet in Dau Tieng district is also a typical farmer in production and business. He is very successful with a model of growing mangosteens, durians, green-skin pomelos, rubber trees and breeding pythons…His model is developed on 6 hectares with the annual income of more than VND600million…

Possible seeing, many farmer billionaires have appeared in the province from the emulation movement. They are typical farmers in surmounting difficulties and getting rich on their own homeland while generating jobs for laborers, contributing to the local common development.

It is known that today, September 20, provincial festival honoring outstanding farmers and introducing typical agricultural products in 2019 takes place in Thuan An town. As planned, the festival will last until September 27 ahead.
