Good pupils, teachers in Thuan An honored

Thuan An town’s People’s Committee, on August 9, held a ceremony to honor good pupils, teachers and award scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils for the 2017-2018 academic year.

In the 2017-2018 academic year, the quality of learning and teaching of schools at all levels in the town reached positive changes. There were 3 good pupils at national level, 30 at regional level and 63 at provincial level. The town’s Study Promotion Associations at all levels also awarded scholarships to 18,867 poor pupils; commended, rewarded good pupils and teachers with a total value of more than VND4.7billion and VND143million, respectively.

On this occasion, the town’s People Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 37 individuals with high results in learning and teaching through national, regional-level contest for good pupils in the last academic year. Donors also offered 341 gifts worth more than VND550million to good pupils, teachers and poor-but-excellent pupils.
