Currently, Tan Uyen City has 3 industrial parks (IPs), 3 industrial clusters with more than 2,000 domestic enterprises, total registered capital of more than VND34,000 billion; Nearly 650 foreign enterprises, total registered capital of more than US$5.3 billion. Tan Uyen City currently has the two largest VSIP projects in Binh Duong and the country, which are VSIP 2 with 2,045 hectares and VSIP 3 with more than 1,000 hectares.

In 2023, the city introduced jobs to 15,529 workers, reaching 258.8% of the resolution target, the rate of trained workers reached 89.09%, the rate of poor households decreased to 1.55% according to the province’s criteria.

Education and training sector's facilities receive good investment, and teaching staff is improving their qualifications. 100% of high school candidates passed the 2023 graduation exam. Public health care is carried out effectively, the rate of people joining health insurance reaches 91.78%. Tan Uyen City Medical Center was recognized by Provincial People's Committee as a class-two hospital, increasing its size to 200 beds, with modern techniques, especially with the opening of hemodialysis, contributing to good health care for the people of the city and surrounding areas.

Besides, the Bach Dang Pomelo Fragrance Festival has been held three times and gave good impressions to hundreds of thousands of visitors. The project to build a model new rural commune for the period 2021-2025 integrated with the pilot construction of a smart village in Bach Dang commune has initially achieved positive results, changing the face of new rural areas and improving local people's lives.

Accordingly, Tan Uyen is oriented by 2030 as an industrial - service - agricultural urban area combined with ecotourism; By 2040, it will be a service - industrial urban - regional transport hub and agriculture combined with ecotourism. In particular, industry develops in a clean, high-tech direction.

Tan Uyen determines the goal of building and developing the city to become a major center in southern Binh Duong province for industry, commercial services, finance, culture - tourism; a modern new urban area, meeting the socio-economic development needs of the province, attracting people from other localities to live and work here.
