In 2016, over 812 hectares of rice land’s purpose need to be converted

Update: 08-01-2016 | 09:17:16

Because rice production has lower profitability than other types of land use, many rice-growing lands in Binh Duong have been converted to other land use purposes, for example, perennials; but land use right certificates are still recorded as paddy land. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage people to carry out legal procedures to convert their land use purpose and renew their land use right certificates.

According to registration number of households, individuals that converted their land use purpose in 2016 through communes, towns, 812.87 ha of paddy land use purpose need to be converted, up 443.7 ha compared to 2015. These lands distributed mainly in districts of Dau Tieng (436.35 ha); North Tan Uyen (136.52 ha); Ben Cat (160 ha); and Tan Uyen (80 ha). These are areas to be allowed to change land use purpose from rice growing to others according to the planning till 2020 approved by PPC.

Also, in the province, there are some household, individual’s lands recorded as paddy land on the cadastral records, but according to the land inventory data in 2014 and in fact are no longer paddy land. Land use planning until 2020 in these areas is not also paddy land, thus the authorities will allow citizens to legalize land use purpose to conform with the current situation and the approved planning.
