Speaking at a press briefing on Italian Business Forum ‘Destination Vietnam’ held on Tuesday in HCMC, Angeloni said Italian manufacturers would come to meet Vietnamese enterprises to sound out business opportunities in Vietnam.

Vietnam is holding huge potential for investment and growth, said Angeloni.

Representatives of the Emilia-Romagna region whose strength is mechanical engineering also come to Vietnam this time.

According to Carlo Alberto Roncarati, vice president of the Association of Chambers of Commerce of Italy and President of the Association of Chambers of Commerce of Emilia-Romagna, there are over 500,000 enterprises in the region and many of them want to seek business chances here in the country.

Twenty Italian mechanical engineering companies had a meeting with 100 potential Vietnamese partners on Tuesday. A similar event took place in Hanoi on Thursday, Oct 17.
