Significance of “Doremon model”
“Give me plastic bottles” is the message of a giant Doremon at Nguyen Du park in TDM city’s Phu Cuong ward. The model is designed with over 2 meters in height, more than 30kg in weight and total expense of around VND 9million. This is the giant model of collecting plastic waste implemented by the city’s Youth Union to raise funds for poor children.
Nguyen Minh Tam, Secretary of the city’s Youth Union said that the model aims to raise funds for children with difficult circumstances while calling for all people to raise awareness of environmental protection. It is hoped that the model will bring practical and significant deeds from Youth Union members and locals.
Also according to Mr.Tam, the model is now undertaken by the Youth Union of Phu Cuong ward. Every day, the Youth Union members will collect plastic bottles from the giant Doremon wastebasket. If being effective, it will be replicated in other localities…
