Regulations on collection, payment and management of appraisal fees for environmental impact assessment reports and renovation restoration plans

Provincial People's Council has issued a resolution on regulations of collection, payment and management of appraisal fees for environmental impact assessment reports and environmental renovation and restoration plans in the province.

This resolution was adopted by the 9th Provincial People's Council at the 15th session on July 17th 2020, is effective from August 1st 2020. This resolution replaces Resolution No. 70/2016/NQ-ND9 of Provincial People's Council on December 16th 2016 on the regime of collection, payment and management of appraisal fees for environmental impact assessment reports and detailed environmental protection schemes; appraisal fees for environmental restoration plans and additional environmental restoration plans in Binh Duong province.

Subjects are organizations and individuals who submit dossiers requesting appraisal of environmental impact assessment reports and environmental renovation and restoration plans in the province. The fee for appraisal of environmental impact assessment reports and environmental renovation and restoration plans will go to budget revenue. Agencies collecting fees have to submit the full amount of the fees to the State budget as prescribed.

Compared to Resolution No. 70/2016/NQ-PPC9 of Provincial People's Council on December 16th 2016, in addition to maintaining the fees of 7 project groups, this resolution increases the fee rate of projects on mineral exploration and processing in accordance with Circular No. 85/2019/TT-BTC of Ministry of Finance prescribing fees and charges within the jurisdiction of Provincial People's Council and cities directly under the Central (effective from January 13th 2020).
