Jubilant Tet in remote areas

Joining up the eagerness for Tet, people in remote areas have been more encouraged with higher earning in terms of spiritual life thanks to sports games and performing shows specifically organized. To earn such achievement, local authority has paid much attention. Tet for the poor We were present at meeting hall of An Binh Commune People’s Committee in Phu Giao District in the days of preparation for lunar New Year celebration. Cham people in Dau Tieng District are welcoming Tet of Kinh people The hall was overcrowded with parents and children in households of poverty pending for the Tet presents, bringing up smiles on faces of everyone. Le Ngoc Tran, residing at Hamlet 3 of An Binh Commune told us about her joy receiving the caring gifts from donators in Tet. Tran was from Kien Giang Province seeking for earning in Binh Duong Province. In Dau Tieng District, local authority has demanded authorities of communes and townships to campaign for donation in a bid of bringing a meaningful Tet to local people. For them, the most valuable presents were the encouragement of overcoming poverty and settling down. “My age prevented me to work, thus, nothing has been prepared for Tet. The present donated mitigated my worries. We do appreciate and thank the Party and the State for sharing with us a portion in new year,” said Lim Lang, an elderly disable in Tan Phu Hamlet of Minh Tan Commune. Upholding the motto of bringing Tet to everyone in districts and towns, local authorities have listed people and families in need to prepare presents for them. According to Mr. Vo Van Ba, Chair of Phu Giao District People’s Committee, the district has mobilized all forces to ensure a joyful and saving Tet for local people. Vivacious and enthusiastic Tet The first days of a lunar new year eyed most jubilant atmosphere across districts of Dau Tieng, Phu Giao, Tan Uyen, etc. People of Lac An religious village are enjoying springtime Various commodity selling drives have reached the localities to create hustle atmosphere of preparation for Tet. In remote areas of Phu Giao and Dau Tieng, ethnic communities are resided with much population dense. And, springtime has come to every corners of the communities. They are enjoying the same Tet with Kinh people without forgetting their identities. Like many ethnic females, the Cham and Khmer people choose their best costumes of their people for Tet. Religious Deputy Head of Cham people in Dau Tieng District Kho Sanh said: “We have the same holiday. Thus, we have prepared good foods and new garments for springtime. We do our praying for a new year of best luck and prosperity.” As for cultural activities, Phu Giao District Center for Culture, Information and Sports has become the venue of traditional games, lion dances, and song festival for local audiences. In Dau Tieng District was the “new year eve greeting” program combined with children fashion shows and song performances. Mr. Mai Duc Lanh, Director of Dau Tieng District Center for Culture, Information and Sports informed that the activities were focused on Tet entertainment of local people. Meantime in Tan Uyen District, streets were cleaned up and colorful lights were hung with flowers and flags to welcome Tet. To diversify entertainment activities, local Office of Culture and Sports has coordinated with Tan Uyen District Center for Culture, Information and Sports to organize performing festival at Service & Trade Zone of Uyen Hung Township.
