Launching of Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2015

Morning June 12^th, Binh Duong province Youth Union held the launching ceremony of Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2015 at Cay Truong II commune (Bau Bang district). In lively atmosphere of the ceremony, summer of this year was full of pioneer spirit of provincial youth to embark in many practical and meaningful works.

Volunteer lyrics aroused youthful enthusiasm of more than 500 youth members including pupils, students, policemen, army force. All young participants were organized into teams and expressed the enthusiasm of the youth. With the motto "Every youngster with a voluntary action; every Union branch with a project, practical work to celebrate the Party Congress of all levels”, voluntary teams will give strengths to examination season, going to schools, free medical examination and medication, building rural roads, contributing to ensuring traffic safety, environmental protection…

Provincial Youth Union held the inauguration ceremony of new rural road project performed by 3-shirt-colors Coalition.

Dinh Thi Thu Hang in Cay Truong II commune said: “I was so excited to participate in this activity. After this ceremony, I love more the volunteer blue shirt, and will actively participate in summer activities”.

After the ceremony, steering committee of the campaign held many significant activities. These were: summer activities for elementary pupils, mobile electronic library with many kinds of book. On this occasion, the steering committee opened training courses on financial management for youth members, and visited 2 policy families.

On the main roads of Cay Truong II commune, youth members enthusiastically delivered leaflets to propagate laws, hygiene, environmental protection, health care… In Suoi Can hamlet, volunteers joyfully attended the inauguration of the coalition of 3 forces to renovate a 300m-long road for local people. Voluntary physician team visited and gave free health check, medication to 150 disadvantaged people at the commune health station.

The Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2015 comprised 5 main campaigns: Giving strengths to examination season – Giving strengths to going to schools; Voluntary Green Summer; Green march - Coalition of 3 shirt colors; Youth workers, young intellectuals pioneer for community life; International volunteers. The highlight of this year was Green march - Coalition of 3 shirt colors with the event of 3-shirt-colors coalition festive day organized by army forces in collaboration with young volunteers to perform key projects in disadvantaged areas, new rural communes.

According to Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of provincial Youth Union, in this summer, the province also focused on the campaign Giving strengths to examination season – Giving strengths to going to schools, and Voluntary Green Summer. These campaigns were to assist new students in examination season and admission procedures, take care and organize summer activities for youngsters. Besides, provincial Youth Union and branches have also joined hands to construct new rural, urban civilization, social security, gratitude activities, and turn towards national islands…

Finally, the International volunteers campaign was to share difficulties, tighten the solidarity between peoples, neighboring countries; especially, activities of cultural exchange, free health check, medication for children and people of Laos and Cambodia…
