*Thuan An town: Collective economic development is a regular and long-term task

Early March 28, leader of provincial Cooperative Alliance had a working session with Di An town to learn about the operational situation of the local cooperatives and cooperative groups.

The town now has a total of 14 cooperatives and 15 cooperative groups making change and operating under the Cooperative Law 2012. Over the past time, the town’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development sufficiently realized policies on encouraging the new establishment for cooperatives, cooperative groups; training cadres for them…

At the working session, provincial Cooperative Alliance put forward solutions to assist the town to promote cooperatives and cooperative groups. Accordingly, the town needs to increase training courses on the operational organization of cooperatives and cooperative groups, create favorable conditions for them to get access to loans for development.

*Early March 28, Thuan An town’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development convened a meeting to review the local collective economic development in Q1, 2017 and devise orientations, tasks for Q2, 2017.

The town is now home to 46 cooperative groups with 430 members, a year-on-year increase of 230; 13 cooperatives with 187 members, a year-on-year increase of 14. For sustainable development, the town’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development needs to have effective models so that newly-established cooperatives and cooperative groups learn experience from them; reach unanimity on those who belong to the Steering Boards of Collective Economic Development at commune/ward levels; obviously explain the rights and interests of each member when joining cooperatives and cooperative groups in order to attract more members…

The town’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development also defined that this is a regular and long-term task so propaganda work needs to be promoted for better development.
