Leaders of localities in Laos want to learn Binh Duong’s experience in economic development

*India, Binh Duong to boost cooperation on IT

Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, on May 11, received Som xay Sanam-oune, Laos’ Consul General in HCM city.

At the reception, the Consul General spoke highly of Binh Duong’s socio-economic development over the past time. He also emphasized that Binh Duong boosted relations with many countries around the world as well as friendship, cooperation with Laos’Champasak province during the past years. Currently, leaders of localities in Laos want to visit and learn Binh Duong’s experience in economic development. He also expressed his desire that Laos will further receive support from leaders of Binh Duong, strengthening the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam-Laos in general and Laos’ localities and Binh Duong in particular.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Liem said that along with fostering relations with countries all over the world, Binh Duong attached special importance to boosting cooperation with Laos’Champasak province over the past time. It is sure that the two localities will further realize many programs to promote bilateral cooperation. He also wanted that the Consul General will further facilitate the fine development of the traditional friendship and cooperation between Binh Duong-Champasak in particular and Binh Duong and Laos’ localities in general.

*The same day, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of provincial People’s Committee had a working session with Smita Pant, India’s Consul General in HCM city.

At the working session, the Consul General assessed that Binh Duong is a neighboring locality of HCM city with a good infrastructure system. Provincial leaders have well realized investment promotion activities. Whilst, India is a country with development in terms of information technology (IT), so the country will boost cooperation with Binh Duong in this domain in the coming time.

After informing the Consul General of the local socio-economic performance over the past time, Mr.Liem said that the number of Indian enterprises making investment in Binh Duong was still very humble, so he wanted that the Consul General will popularize Binh Duong’s investment climate so that the locality can absorb more Indian investors. Binh Duong has also developed programs on IT. For that reason, provincial leaders wanted that Indian investors will boost cooperation with the province in this domain.
