Life is still beautiful

With the purpose of helping poor disabled people and dioxin victims, the provincial Red Cross Society has launched a project themed ‘Cow Bank’ funded by Vietnamese community in Ukraine through ‘beautiful life’ program. 50 cows worth VND350mil will be granted to 50 poor disabled people and dioxin victims.

Luu Thi Nguyet Suong, vice chairwoman of the provincial Red Cross Society, said the cow bank project has helped 50 households in Tan Uyen district’s 10 communes. We have completed assessment and waited for capital disbursement from the central association.

To ensure effective breeding, the society in cooperation with the local Veterinary Bureau has trained and transferred technical advances for beneficiaries from the project. Besides, the district level veterinary station takes charge of selecting high quality breeding cows.

Le Anh Tuan in Vinh Tan commune, said thanks to the project, his family escapes difficulties. Meanwhile, Nguyen Duc Tung, a disabled person in the same commune, said cow breeding is suitable work to him. He hopes that the project will be disbursed soon.
