Hidden deep down an alley of 1.5m width on Phan Thanh Gian Street at Binh Duc 2 Residential Area in Lai Thieu Ward, Thuan An Town is the home to oriental physician Ngo Thi Y and Phan Thanh Loi. They preserve their home for healthchecking and caring offered to poor people. Poor patients are offered with oriental medicine treatments Mr. Phan Thanh Loi, born in 1950, was a wartime reporter who devoted to teaching at Lai Thieu School for the deaf. He revealed his hobbies of writing and collecting books. For him, the hobbies gave him an asset of antique arrticles. It is amazing to adore his 20m2 room full of such decorations. His wife, Mrs. Ngo Thi Y, born in 1949 was formerly a nurse and midwife working for Thuan An Clinic. By 1995, she trained herself as a oriental physician before passing tests to become a member of District 12 Oriental Medicine Association in Ho Chi Minh City. By 2006, she officially became member of Central Government’s Oriental Medicine Association. Mr. Loi is so familiar with his wife work that he had also learned to become an oriental physician. Both of them are devoted to charity works which have helped plenty of people to release their pains and diseases.They are qualified with acupuncture; however not skillful, local people admire their kind heart. Thus, they just come to their place for treatments.Daily, they receive about 20 turns of patients who are offered with free of charge treatments while donations are welcome.
