In recent days, trade unions at all levels in the province have been busy doing Tet-caring activities for workers. Thousands of gifts, thousands of train and bus tickets have delivered to workers, helping them have a joyful and happy Lunar New Year 2024.

Warm the hearts of workers

More than 1,000 workers of Tan Uyen City felt so glad when participating in the "Tet reunion - Spring sharing" program in 2024 organized by the city's Labor Confederation in Bach Dang commune. At this program, Tan Uyen City's trade union levels joined hands to present 86 train tickets, 55 bus tickets, and more than 200 gifts for workers to return home and celebrate Tet.

Workers clearly feel the concern of unions at all levels. Le Thi Kieu Mi, a worker at VSIP 2 Industrial Park, said: “I have been a worker, temporarily residing in Vinh Tan ward for 7 years and see that trade unions at all levels always care for workers, especially caring about our after-work lives. Today, I received a train ticket and a Tet gift, I feel very happy and touched, I feel happy to choose Binh Duong as my second hometown."

Luu Thi Tuyet Trinh, Chairwoman of Tan Uyen City Confederation of Labor, said that in recent days, many grassroots trade unions in Tan Uyen City have been busy working with the city Labor Confederation to take care of workers. In addition to the gifts of "Tet Reunion - Spring Sharing" program, Tan Uyen City also organized "Tet Union Market" sessions for workers. Grassroots trade unions also organized meaningful spring trips, Zero-dong markets, and other cultural, arts and entertainment activities for workers, help strengthening their faith, and have a long-term commitment to the locality.

Not only in Tan Uyen City, in recent days, Trade Union of Provincial Industrial Parks, Trade Union of Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park, Trade Union of Textile and Garment Industry, and trade unions of Di An City, Thu Dau Mot City, Thuan An City, Ben Cat Town... have organized many programs aimed at workers, such as: gift giving, train tickets, bus tickets and cultural programs helps workers feel happy when choosing Binh Duong as their second hometown.

Duong Thi Ha, a worker at Astro Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Di An City), said that this Tet holiday, she received a 13th-month salary bonus from the company and Tet gifts, so it was very heartwarming. “Every Tet holiday, we receive attention from trade unions at all levels by giving us gifts and vouchers for preferential prices. This action has helped workers feel more joy and happiness," Ha said.

It's all about the workers

According to Le Nguyen Thanh Binh, Chairman of Ben Cat Town Confederation of Labor, on occasion of the 2024 Lunar New Year, the town's trade unions at all levels simultaneously organized activities to care for and practically support the material and spiritual life of union members and workers. In addition to the program "Tet Reunion - Spring Sharing" and "Trade Union Tet Market", Ben Cat Town Trade Union also organized delegations to visit, give New Year wishes and give gifts to union members and workers having difficult circumstances, serious illness, job loss; donated 1,500 gifts worth 1.5 billion VND financed by socialization sources, 1,500 gifts of the superior trade union and 27,000 gifts worth over 10 billion VND by the budget of grassroots trade unions.

In addition, the union also organized the "2024 Spring Gratitude Trip" to bring union members and workers having difficult circumstances back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet. "For workers who do not return to their hometowns, the town's trade unions will organize activities to celebrate spring and welcome Tet in Binh Duong in a warm, joyful manner. Activities to care for spiritual life are also organized solemnly and variously, such as cultural programs to celebrate spring, folk games, Tet meal competitions, etc. Besides, the town's Labor Federation directs grassroots trade unions to proactively collaborate with businesses to organize thoughtful and meaningful Tet care activities for employees in the spirit of all done for employees," Binh said.

Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Labor Confederation, affirmed that in response to the call of the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam and Provincial Labor Confederation, in recent days, all levels of trade unions in the province have joined hands and organized activities towards workers during the Lunar New Year 2024. Trade unions at all levels in the province have mobilized all resources to care for workers with diverse activities, such as: "Tet reunion - Spring sharing", "Tet trade union market", "Spring gratitude bus trip 2024", gift giving activities at trade unions, especially workers having difficult circumstances...

“The activities have affirmed Binh Duong's motto of not leaving any employee behind on Tet festival. In addition to support from the budget, trade unions at all levels have mobilized resources to take care of workers staying in Binh Duong celebrating Tet, and support free tickets to bring workers to localities across the country to reunite with their families during Tet days...", Tran said.
