Delegate Huynh Van Trai – Director of Investment and Planning Department suggested oriented regional development to satisfy demands of economic structure transition and internal sector’s restructuring and urban-rural gap narrowing. In his suggestion, Southern localities such as TDM Town, Thuan An, Di An, Ben Cat, and Tan Uyen should be balanced in terms of land allocation to promote strong development of urban and services and sole clean and high-tech industries. As for Northern localities, synchronized development is maintained among industry, urban and services with the core development of selective industries to meet the demands of South-to North industrial development transition of the province.

Sectors and levels should take into consideration of adjustment and supplement or establishment of suitable schemes in development conditions. On this basis, infrastructure and land allocation will be oriented to attract investment projects for the sake of successful targeted achievements.

Rural and service development to hightech ends

 

For Delegate Le Van Rum – Director of Agriculture and Rural Development Department, thorough balance of urban and rural development is necessary for rapid and sustainable development of eco-agriculture, hightech agriculture together with new rural area construction. Typically in Binh Duong province, policies will be introduced to preserve natural resources and environment along with cultural identity and rural space of a future city. The development will involve sectors, localities and experienced and competent enterprises.

 

Before hand, it is necessary that hamlet’s authority will organize propaganda to launch policies, models and initiatives for new rural area construction.

Delegate Nguyen Thi Dien, Director of Trade and Industry Department, suggested to increase ratio of high-tech investment projects for competitive and supportive products to reduce importation as well as manual labor projects. To enhance exporting efficiency, enterprises will be encouraged to invest into light industrial products and handicrafts along with leading exporting products. Infrastructure and services will be enhanced to reduce costs of enterprises.

 

Delegate Vo Thanh Duc, Director of Binh Duong Police, noted visible and unavoidable obstacles during development process. Infrastructure development will somehow affect rights and settlements of the people in the face of on-going wealth differentiation. Bad effects of market regime nurture grafts, bureaucracy and negative social conduct. Contradiction without resolving will create disputes in political outlook and degrade public trust.

 

He proposed 3 initiaves to ensure a leading Party, a strong military force, and a fortified public belief.

To transform Thu Dau Mot Town into modern and civilized city

 

Delegate Nguyen Thanh Tai, TDM Town People’s Committee Chairman, put it that the town will be maintained with rapid and sustainable development pace from now to 2015 with better social security.

 

The complete construction planning for Thu Dau Mot Town will be a handbook for management and investment luring. Constructions to make more beautiful Thu Dau Mot Town include connecting roads for political and administrative center and special traffic joints. It is projected that by 2012 roads will be upgraded across wards and hamlets to improve management.
