Meeting of provincial OCOP evaluation and classification council held

Early November 4, Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee, Chairman of provincial “One Commune, One Product (OCOP)” product evaluation and classification council chaired a meeting of provincial OCOP product evaluation and classification council.

An overview of the meeting

In the evaluation and classification of products of the provincial OCOP program in the first round of 2022, the whole province has 65 products’ dossiers of 40 subjects (including 12 companies, 8 cooperatives, 1 cooperative group, 7 farms, 12 production and business households). Among the 65 participating products, there are fresh food products, processed foods, spices, alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages and community-based tourist products and tourist sites.

Based on products ‘dossiers proposed by localities, the evaluation consulting team for the applications for evaluation and classification of OCOP products in the first round of 2022, the province has reached 25 provincial-level OCOP products. Among them, there are no products recommended for 5-star recognition; 19 products proposed for 3-star recognition; 6 products recommended for 2-start recognition.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Dung asked for members of provincial OCOP product evaluation and classification council to organize the organization of evaluation, classification and grading of products to ensure fairness and objectivity, based on the regulations on evaluation and classification and the set of criteria for evaluating and classifying OCOP  products promulgated.
