All-level authorities and trade unions of the province have attached special importance to mobilizing social resources to take care of the lives of workers. On the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2023 is approaching and activities to take care of employees ‘material and spiritual lives are being promoted. In particular, trade unions at all levels, departments and mass organizations in the province promote their initiative and creativity to actively mobilize social resources to organize activities to take care of and support employees.
Warming hearts of workers
With the motto of "All trade unionists and employees enjoy Tet", departments, sectors and mass organizations in the province have focused on mobilizing resources to support and care for trade unionists and employees on the occasion of the Tet festival 2023, with the spirit of joy, excitement, health, safety, and saving. Specifically, trade unions at all levels in the province are expected to spend over VND 350 billion on taking Tet care of employees in such forms as organizing 2 Trade Union Tet market-days with booths supporting prices up to 50 %; giving 46,500 gifts; organizing a “Tet reunion” program… The Youth Union with the “Spring Bus” program will directly give gifts for sub-unions for young workers; support 7 bus trips to bring young workers in need back home to celebrate Tet; coordinate with organizations and associations to mobilize organizations and individuals to give 2,000 Tet gifts...

At a meeting with socio-political mass organizations, the Red Cross Societies and Fatherland Front Committees of districts, towns and cities on a plan to take Tet care of the targeted people, Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee requested units and localities to focus on employees whose contracts were terminated with difficult circumstances. Localities and units need to actively review and capture the quantity of the targeted people in order to give gifts, bringing the warmest and most complete Tet to everyone.
Sharing with us, Pham Thi Hop, a worker at Eins Vina Co., Ltd. in Di An city shared: "Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the company has faced difficulties, due to no orders. Therefore, our income is also significantly reduced. Fortunately, we are always supported by the local government. No matter how much or how little, every time we receive gifts from the Trade Union and the local government, we still feel extremely warm. Hopefully, in the coming time, we will receive a lot of attention and timely support from local authorities at all levels to feel secure in production."
Many meaningful activities
Over the past time, leaders of the province and localities, trade unions at all levels and many units and enterprises...mobilized many resources to help employees overcome the difficult period. In order to take care of people with difficult circumstances in society, including laborers, provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels organized many practical, meaningful, in-depth activities, including the campaign of "Each organization, each individual should stick to a humanitarian address", "Humanitarian month", "Zero-dong market-day"..., attracting the participation of numerous people from all strata.
Nguyen Minh Nhut, Chairman of Ben Cat town’s Red Cross Society shared: “In order to support needy workers, the town’s Red Cross Society has mobilized the local donors to organize “zero-dong” market-days for employees. Through the campaigns, the association has received a lot of help from donors in and out of the province. These are very outstanding results, demonstrating the cooperation and contribution of all-level Party committees, authorities, agencies, units, enterprises, donors for employees with difficult circumstances, help them have more motivation, confidence to rise up”.
Meanwhile, Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that in order to promote the accompanying role of the Youth Union and associations in taking care of, supporting and protecting young workers’ legitimate rights and interests, creating an environment for young workers to live and work, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has cooperated with Taisho Vietnam Co., Ltd (LIPOVITAN energy drink brand) to organize the "Tet energetic bus" program 2023 to support young workers and students in Binh Duong on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit 2023. In addition, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee will establish 9 points to support young workers returning their hometowns to celebrate Tet by motorbike.
Although the material value of the above activities is not great, they has great spiritual significance, contributing to expressing the affection and attention of the local authorities and people to needy trade unionists and workers, thereby building a spirit of solidarity, attachment and being a motivation to help trade unionists and employees overcome difficulties in life and warm their hearts when Tet comes.
