National Election Commission launches online election tasks

In the morning of May 18, Politburo member, National Assembly Chairman, and National Election Council Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue chaired a nationwide online conference to deploy the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly Delegation and the People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure. Attending the conference at Binh Duong connection point were Vo Van Minh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council, Chairman of the provincial Election Committee and leaders of the provincial People's Councils, departments, and industries.

Speaking at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that he thoroughly understood the Directive No. 45-CT/TW of the Politburo on election leadership, and the implementation of resolutions of the National Assembly and Standing Committee. The National Assembly, the National Election Council, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front, ministries, departments and branches at Party committee levels, agencies, levels, and local mass organizations throughout the nation have been very seriously and actively leading, directing and guiding the preparation of all necessary conditions for the election.

To ensure that the election is held in a democratic manner, in accordance with the law, and absolutely safe and successful especially in the context of the complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic in the nation, the National Election Commission has decided to hold an online conference to review all preparations so far and to promptly listen to and solve problems, difficulties, recommendations and proposals concerned localities, organizations and agencies in order to unify awareness and high determination in action to prepare the most thoughtfully and fully for the election.

The National Election Commission proposed the Standing Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee at all levels to continue organizing and mobilizing the people to actively participate in the election and closely coordinate with Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and mass organizations at the grassroots level under the motto of "door knocking", especially families with immigrant workers to promptly follow changes and supplement the list of voters before issuing voter cards.
