Early August 28, Phu My ward in Thu Dau Mot city organized the inauguration of the "National Flag Street" and donated computers to quarters’ offices. To educate officials, Youth Union members and people about the sacred significance and pride associated with the national flag, the Steering Committee for the Movement of Building a Cultural and Civilized Urban Lifestyle in Phu My ward has launched the campaign of "Implementing the National Flag Street" to quarters and residents.
As a result, the ward mobilized 3,000 flags and flagpoles which were displayed along roads with a total length of 20 kilometers, with a total cost of over VND 500 million. The ward has so far established nine flag streets. Additionally, the ward has also mobilized organizations and individuals to donate eight computers and printers to quarters, with a total value of VND 120 million. These devices aim at helping the local quarters improve data management, digitize archived documents and effectively apply information technology in managing the local quarters’ activities.
