National great unity festival celebrated across the province

Early November 18, Phu An commune’s Phu Thuan hamlet in Ben Cat town held the 2016 national unity festival. Attending the event were Nguyen Minh Triet, former State President; Nguyen Van Hung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, General Director of Becamex IDC; leaders of the town’s Party Committee together with officials and people in the hamlet.

At the festival, delegates reviewed the 86-year development of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and reported the outcomes of the 2016 “All people unite to build residential quarters” campaign in Phu Thuan hamlet. Accordingly, there were 466 out of 475 households in the hamlet recognized as cultural ones. On this occasion, 10 outstanding cultural households in 2016 were honored and 90 poor households were also presented gifts worth more than VND90million.

*On November 18, Hiep Thanh ward’s quarter 6 in TDM city got animated with the 2016 national great unity festival, in attendance of Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Public Relations, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee together with leaders of the city and people in the quarter.

On this occasion, the quarter’s Mobilization Board for the “Fund for the Poor” presented gifts to needy households. Especially, Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee donated VND20million to the quarter’s Study Promotion Fund.

*On the afternoon of November 18, Cay Truong II commune’s Ba Tu hamlet in Bau Bang district also held the 2016 national great unity festival and marked the 86^th founding anniversary of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (November 18, 1930-November 18, 2016), in attendance of Nguyen Hoang Chau, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chief of provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission.

In 2016, Ba Tu hamlet mobilized 100% of households to register for the “cultural” title. As a result, there were 322 out of 332 households winning the title. On this occasion, 20 outstanding cultural households were also honored.
