Warmness with winter youth volunteer activities

In the last months of the year, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have organized a wide range of volunteer activities, contributing to ensuring social welfare and upholding the volunteer spirit of Youth Union members.

Under the campaign of “Sentimental attachment to islands and border areas”, provincial Youth Union will further organize a winter youth volunteer program with many significant activities in Lao Cai province. Particularly, provincial Youth Union will carry out a youth work Lung Po flagpole; present sweaters, blankets, essential commodities, scholarships to Youth Union members, children and people with difficult circumstances in the northern mountainous province…

Over the past years, cooperation between the Youth Unions of Binh Duong and Lao Cai attained some positive results. The two units held exchange programs and realized meaningful volunteer activities. During the 2015-2020 period, they will further work together to effectively implement Youth Union task, children and teenagers’ movements. Especially, the campaign of “Sentimental attachment to islands and border areas” has contributed to boosting education on love to homeland and human beings among young people, supporting needy units and creating a motivation for the local Youth Union to well fulfill its activities.

Implementing the program of “Warm winter for children”, Tan Uyen town’s Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization (HCMYPO) has also just coordinated with Phan Ri Volunteers’Club to kick off a “Sharing love” journey at Long Thanh pagoga’s Kim Chi orphanage in Thu Thua district in the Mekong Delta province of Long An. During the journey, Phan Ri Volunteers’ Club gave 200 gifts, comprising of rice, instant noodle, milk and confectionary, for children at the orphanage. The town’s HCMYPO also donated 2,000 notebooks and learning tools to the orphanage.

Besides, Ben Cat town’s Youth Union and Youth Federation have attached special importance to organizing on-site volunteer activities under the “winter volunteer” program. Accordingly, they offered 20 gifts to pupils with difficult circumstances, disabled children…

Along the “Winter volunteer”, “Warm winter for children” programs, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have organized many other significant programs, namely “Accompanying farmers in new rural construction”, “For community’s health”…, contributing to making this year’s winter get warmer while expressing the volunteer spirit of Youth Union members for the sake of the community.
