Outstanding individuals, families in blood donation honored

TDM city’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization, on December 24, held a conference honoring outstanding individuals, collectives in blood donation in 2019.

In 2019, the city’s Steering Boards of Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization at all levels actively mobilized people from all strata to respond to the movement of voluntary blood donation and got many considerable results with 2,162 units of blood given or 100% of the year’s plan.

On this occasion, the city’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization commended and rewarded 122 individuals, families with 3 times of blood donation; 102 individuals, families with 5, 10 and 15 times of blood donation.

*The same day, Phu Giao district’s Red Cross Society held a conference to review its activities in 2019 while honoring individuals, families with 5, 10 and 15 times of blood donation.

In 2019, the district’s Red Cross Societies at all levels actively got involved in charity activities and reached many positive results, including offering Tet gifts worth billions of dong to poor, near-poor households and policy beneficiaries; building “red cross” houses for households in need of housing; mobilizing people from all strata to give blood. As a result, the district collected 1,786 unit of blood, beyond the set target.
