More than 4,200 individuals and units subscribed over VND2bln to Phu Giao district’s Support Fund for Farmers over the past five years. The district’s Farmers’ Society also considered and provided over VND1.95bln in support to 451 local farmers; teamed with the district’s Bank for Social Policies to disburse more than VND34.4bln in loan for 2,634 local farmers to develop homebased business.

 

Also during the time, the district’s Farmers’ Society cooperated with the district’s Division for Economics, Plant Protection Station, Agricultural Promotion Station and Veterinary Station to organize 733 classes on transfer of sci-tech advancements in agricultural production and animal husbandry, open 372 classes on how to use pesticides and prevent diseases in plants for the local farmers…, contributing to helping them rise up out of poverty.
