In the past time, Binh Duong provincial authority had various policies supporting collectives to invest into facilities and equipment renewing to improve production and business operations and increase income of working people. In the process of new rural, the models of collective models and collectives have been greatly developed to orientation, contributing to local socio-economic development.

The leading collectives
The provincial association of collectives, on implementing regulations on criteria of model collectives, many collectives in the province have emerged as excellent ones in business and production operations to be considered as the leading collectives of provincial collective economy. Making efforts and learning from partners along with market seeking and VietGAP oriented production, Tan My fruit collective at Tan My commune in Bac Tan Uyen district has not only maintained its operations and connection with enterprises to emerge as an effective producer and business. Le Minh Sang, Director of Tan My fruit collective informed that his collective was established in 2015 with connection to farmers of pomelo, orange, and mandarin and observation of cultivation standards to increase the product values. The collective covers 60 hectares of pomelo, orange, and mandarin with total yield of over 300 tons a year. Live hood of its members has been dramatically improvedto stability thanks to the sales of VietGAP verified products. The application of good agricultural practices has brought about better products and improved environment along with closer community relation. Total average revenue of the collective has been over VND 10 billion, resolving jobs to more than twenty rural workers of VND 6-7 million of payment a month.
The Thanh Long Collective of Transportation, Construction, Road and Bridge from My Phuoc ward of Ben Cat town is notable in the field of transportation and construction. Established in 2003, the collectives had 22 members of total assets of more than VND 14 billion to be operating in construction, mechanical engineering, and road and bridge construction, supplying construction materials transportation services of average revenue from VND 25 to 30 billion every year. The collective has created jobs to 120 working people of averagely VND 7-8 million a month. Nguyen Van Dien, Director of Thanh Long Collective of Transportation, Construction, Road and Bridge informed that the achievements were thanks to active connection of business and industry expansion to create many jobs to members and working people. The officers and members of the collectives have made great efforts to promote patriotism emulation in production and business operations to attract more than 100 working people who earn average income of VND 6 million a month among members.
To multiply the model
People’s credit fund is the most effective and stable model of collective economy. The people’s credit funds have been quantitatively and qualitatively developed to contribute to socio-economic promotion in the province and stabilize income per capita of working people from VND 10 million to VND 12 million per month. Thereby, jobs are created to increase income for members and to promote economic structure transition as well as poverty reduction and eradication of heavy interest rate loans locally. Vo Minh Chanh, Chairman of An Thanh People’s Credit Fund management board at An Thanh ward of Thuan An city informed that the fund has been proactive to propose measures to remove obstacles baring financial growth and improve operations. Credit quality has been considered as decisive factor for operations with enhanced supervision, verification and check-up during the lending process.
The mentioned models and efforts of collectives helped people’s credit funds become better in operations. Concurrently, local policies enabled deeper investments with enhanced premises and euqipment. Various newly established collectives have invested into industries satisfying social needs in various models while helping its members to increase income.
In the last term, by provincial budget, the association of collectives in the province has approved loans of over VND 118 billion to 60 members to help them develop production, business operations and technology reforms. Besides, the association has also coordinated with departments and sectors to extend consultancy and guidance for other collectives to be offered favorable loans from funds of science and technology development and farmer assistance. Despite few State’s support, the model collectives in years have been successful with more visible new-style collectives, contributing to the transformation of awareness, nature, value and roles of the new-style collectives.
The effective model collectives have been multiplied and development resulting in emergence of other models to promote remedies among other collectives for stronger and more sustainable development for the time to come. (To be continued)
