Party leader welcomes Japanese Communist Party delegation

 General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong and Executive Committee Chairman of the Japanese Communist Party (JCP) Shii Kazuo 

 General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong received Executive Committee Chairman of the Japanese Communist Party (JCP) Shii Kazuo in Hanoi on September 23.

  At the meeting, Chairman Shii Kazuo spoke highly of Vietnam’s achievements during the renewal period and augured further accomplishments in the current phase of national construction and defence.

He also praised the outcomes of co-operation with the CPV in the past, and said he believes that relations will be further reinforced and developed for mutual understanding, peace and social progress.

Meanwhile, General Secretary Trong congratulated the JCP on their success in the recent Diet and Tokyo municipal elections, affirming that the results prove the Japanese people’s confidence in the party.

The two sides agreed on the need to boost multifaceted co-operation in various forms to build stronger parties and increase collaboration.

Earlier, Politburo member and Standing member of the CPV Central Committee’s Secretariat Le Hong Anh held talks with Chairman Shii Kazuo.

The two sides discussed orientations and concrete measures to promote friendship and co-operation, enhancing ties between Vietnam and Japan.
