Patriotic emulation movement in Binh Duong province to spread deeply and widely

When alive, President Ho Chi Minh once taught: “Emulation is patriotic, patriots must emulate. And competitors are the most patriotic people”. The teaching remains unchanged in the current context. In recent years, along with promoting the tradition of industriousness, creativeness, Party members and people in the province have engaged enthusiastically in patriotic emulation movements, and reaped many outstanding achievements in all fields, achieved huge breakthroughs in socioeconomic development.

Putting more effort to emulate

In recent years, provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee have directed all levels to implement effectively Law on Emulation – Commendation and directives of the Central Government. Since then, patriotic emulation movement in the province has gradually deepened, pervaded with the participation of the whole political system.

Annually, PPC disseminates patriotic emulation movements among agencies, sectors, businesses, people in the province. Movements of “Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh", “Joining hands to construct new rural”, and movement of implementing Resolutions of provincial Party Committee, People's Council... have been positively responded by all levels and people strata, bringing huge and pervasive effects on all fields of the society.

Mr. Tran Trong Lam, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Home Affairs, Vice Chairman of provincial Emulation – Commendation Committee, said, during the last 5 years, all levels have issued many legal documents and instructions to facilitate the implementation of emulation – commendation at grassroots level. In particular, provincial People's Council issued resolutions, PPC issued decisions on emulation – commendation policies. Provincial Emulation – Commendation Committee stipulated many documents to guide emulation – commendation works, such as: grading, assessing, criteria, clusters and group of emulation in the province.

Simultaneously, the dissemination of emulation – commendation and typical examples on mass media has been promoted. Contents of Law on Emulation – Commendation, guiding documents, new models, best practices in production, typical examples of learning and working have been praised and disseminated in order to improve all people’s awareness of emulation – commendation.

Many practical movements

In the last 5 years, all sectors and levels in the province have carried out effectively patriotic emulation movements. Prominent emulation movements were: land clearance, investment attracting, “Skilful, creative labor” movement, "Improving productivity, quality, and reducing product price”, “Training skills, competing skillful worker”, "Initiative of technical innovation, quality and efficiency improvement”, “Ensuring labor safety and fire prevention" and so on.

Due to emulation movements, Binh Duong province becomes one leading province in industrialization and urbanization, new rural, urban construction. Currently, the province has 11 communes achieving new rural title. Along with industrial development, Binh Duong has also paid attention to urban agriculture development, high-tech agriculture associated with processing.

Thereby, many high-tech agricultural zones emerged, many farmers have applied applying scientific and technical advances in production to develop successfully models, such as: Phuong Uyen farm (North Tan Uyen district), Thanh Thuy farm (Bau Bang district)…
