They are exemplary role-models in the emulation movement “women
actively study, creatively work and nurture happy families”
The emulation movement “women actively study, creatively work, and nurture happy families” is one of the great emulation movements launched by the Vietnam Women’s Union Central Committee. After five year-implementation of the emulation movement, women in Phu Giao district made great contributions to the local socio-economic development.
Nguyen Thi Thuong, chairwomen of Phu Giao district Women’s Union said that there were more than 1,000 local women registering to take part in the movement “women actively study, creatively work and nurture happy families” every year. Noticeably, the emulation movement was closely linked with the movement “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals”, creating an animated emulation atmosphere among local women.
Under the emulation movement, the district Women’s Union also put forwarded many concrete action programs such as those of building compassion houses; women helping each other in economic development…The local women actively responded to these significant programs with a total support money reaching to billions of dong every year.
After five years of implementing the emulation movement “women actively study, creatively work and nurture happy families, the whole district had 69,151 turns of officials and members to register to participate in the movement. As a result, there were 60,813 turns of women meeting the requirements of three standards of the emulation movement. Among these 60, 813 turns of women, there were 5,918 turns of women awarded the certificates for their excellent achievements in the emulation movement.
Noticeably, there have appeared 250 outstanding women in Phu Giao district from the emulation movement, namely Nguu Thi Hanh at Nuoc Vang hamlet, An Binh commune; Pham Thi Mui in Tam Lap commune; Nguyen Thi Nguyen at quarter 5, Phuoc Vinh township…, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.
Possibly speaking, the emulation movement “women actively study, creatively work and nurture happy families” has affirmed the important role of women in the society.
