Prevention of smuggling, fraudulent trade, and fakes to be boosted at year end

As informed by Market Control Department, functional agencies have administered, within Q3 of 2015, administrative sanctions, recovery, and sales of confiscated violating commodities to pay to the State’s budget over VND 88 billion. Accordingly, they have uncovered 1,381 cases of violation in trade sector, of which, cigarette smuggling, transportation and sales of wild animals, hand phones, mini gas canister, cosmetics, civil electric appliances, etc. dominated the cases.

By evaluation of functional agencies, in the last 3 months of 2015, activities of production and trading of fakes, banned products, smuggled products and trade frauds would be in more sophisticated and unpredictable forms. Thus, the functional agencies will intensify its prevention and control to maximize regulations on anti-fake and commercial cheating amongst departments and sectors.
