Province further realizes “Bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside” program

The Organizing Board for the “Bring Vietnamese goods to countryside” program under provincial Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) continued opening a market day at Tan Dinh commune’s stadium in Tan Uyen district on October 23 and 24, absorbing more than 10,000 locals for shopping. From now till late October, there will be additional such three market days at Tan Long commune’s stadium in Phu Giao district, Thanh Tuyen commune’s stadium in Dau Tieng district and Long Nguyen commune’s primary school in Ben Cat district.

 Bringing Vietnamese goods to remote region

 This week, provincial Organizing Board for the “Bring Vietnamese goods to countryside” program will further prepare for market days to be organized in the province’s remote region of Phu Giao district’s Tan Long commune, Dau Tieng district’s Thanh Tuyen commune, Ben Cat district’s Long Nguyen commune. As planned, there will be 27 participating businesses with a discount of 5%-7% on products.

 The above market days will include food (sugar, cooking oil, seasoning power…), customer goods (clothes, household utensils…), chemicals-cosmetics (shampoo, soap, toothpaste…) and electronic appliances, said Nguyen Huu Ly, Deputy Director of the Center for Trade Promotion and Economic Information under provincial DoIT.

 According to him, in additional to promotion programs, the organizing board of the market days will organize music shows to strongly encourage the “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” campaign. Each participating business will be also mobilize to donate a gift worth VND500,000 to needy people. At the market day organized in Tan Uyen district’s Tan Dinh commune, 35 such gifts were presented to the poor.

 The organizing board has also cooperated with the Economics Divisions, Radio Stations of Tan Uyen, Ben Cat, Dau Tieng and Phu Giao districts to boost propaganda work on the market days to be organized for better results. It will strive to have 40,000 locals visiting these market days for shopping.

 Residents eager to welcome market days

 It is known that residents in Tan Uyen district were very eager to welcome the market day under the “Bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside” program kicked off on October 23 and 24.

 Whilst, residents in localities where such market days will be organized from now till late October are also avid for participation. Nguyen Thi My, a resident in Dau Tieng district’s Thanh Tuyen commune said: “Through propaganda work, we know there will be a market day at communal stadium on Oct.28, so we now save money to buy goods at the market day. Meanwhile, other resident Bui Thi Nau in Long Nguyen commune said: “We are waiting for the upcoming market day as it will sell hi-quality Vietnamese goods with cheap prices”.

 An official of Phu Giao district’s Tan Long commune also said that resident herein are bursting to want to visit the market day to be organize at the end of October. Thanks to such market days, residents in remote areas of the district are able to get access to hi-quality Vietnamese goods.
