Province gets animatedly with activities for children

A ceremony to launch the Action Month for Children and Summer Activities in 2017 was held at Tan My primary school in North Tan Uyen district, with the participation of 500 children in the district.

Coming to the event, the local children had a chance to enjoy special art items performed by provincial Cultural House for Children’s “Mang Non” Art Troupe and take part in folk games.

On this occasion, provincial Child Support Fund’s Council, Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and North Tan Uyen district’s People’s Committee gave 50 scholarships worth VND500,000 each, 450 gifts and 1 playground with a total cost of VND360million for children. The district’s Steering Board of Summer Activities also held a parade through main streets to make propaganda against accidents and injuries for children.

*The same day, Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd. inaugurated a recreational area for children.

The VND9.4-billion work is built on an area of nearly 10,000 meters in the precinct of the company’s cultural-sports center with items: football playground, tennis court, swimming pool, restaurant…This is also a work in celebration of the congresses of the company’s Youth Union, Trade Union and War Veterans’ Association for the 2017-2022 tenure.

*Di An town’s Steering Board of Teenagers and Children’s Activities, on June 1, held a ceremony to launch Summer Activities and the Action Month for Children in 2017 under the theme of “Joining hands to prevent children from violence and abuse” .

On this occasion, the organizers awarded 50 “Schoolbag of dream” scholarships to pupils with difficult circumstances while making propaganda on child protection and care. Provincial Youth Union also donated a “Ho Van Men” scholarship to a pupil with excellent academic results in the 2016-2017 academic year. The town’s Youth Union honored 5 outstanding individuals in the movement of “For beloved young generation”.

*Early June 1, provincial Library organized the International Day for Children and opened the Summer Book Festival 2017.

This was a chance for preschool and primary school pupils to watch books, newspapers and pictures while taking part in many other significant activities.

With the theme of “Joining hands to prevent children from violence and abuse”, this year’s Action Month in the town aims to raise awareness of agencies, organizations, families and individuals in preventing children from violence and abuse towards comprehensive development.

On this occasion, the town also offered gifts worth VND200,000 each, comprising of schoolbags, notebooks…, to needy children and those at An Phu ward’s charity classes.
