The Government just issued a Resolution No.04/NQ-CP on setting up Di An and Thuan An towns in Binh Duong province.

Accordingly, Di An town will include 6,010 ha and 297,435 people and 7 newly established wards of Di An, An Binh, Tan Dong Hiep, Dong Hoa, Tan Binh, Binh An, Binh Thang. Meanwhile, Thuan An town will consist of 8,426ha and 382,034 residents and 7 newly-established wards of Lai Thieu, An Thanh, Vinh Phu, Binh Hoa, Thuan Giao, Binh Chuan, An Phu and 3 communes of Binh Nham, Hung Dinh and An Son.

Binh Duong province has so far had 269,554ha of area and 1,482,636 residents with 7 administration units including 3 towns of Thu Dau Mot, Di An, Thuan An and 4 districts of Ben Cat, Tan Uyen, Dau Tieng and Phu Giao.
