Province reaches over US$1bil in timber export

The provincial department of Trade and Industry, said in the first 9 months of this year local timber processors reached over US$1bil in timber export, a 7.1% rise from the same period last year, accounting for 34.3% of the country’s export turnover.

Aside from the traditional markets including the US, EU and Japan, local timber businesses won many new export contracts from nations including China, Taiwan…

It is expected that the local timber revenue will obtain about US$1.4bil in this year.
