Early February 18, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial Steering Board of Collective Economic Development chaired a meeting to review the local collective economic activities and extend orientations, tasks for 2020. The event was also attended by Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.
In 2019, the sector worked very effectively, making great contributions to the local socio-economic development. The whole province has so far had a total of 130 cooperative groups on cultivation and animal husbandry with 1,258 members and total capital of more than VND40billion; 178 cooperatives with 30,285 members and chapter capital of nearly VND800billion. Provincial Alliance of Cooperatives last year cooperated with the People’s Committees of districts, towns and TDM city to propagandize and mobilize organizations, individuals to set up additional 27 cooperatives or 168.7% of the year’s plan. Province-based cooperatives, credit funds reached more than VND1.67trillion in total revenue; generated jobs for nearly 15,000 laborers with the average income of VND6milion-VND6.5million per person per month.
For better results, the province will strengthen steering boards of collective economic development at all levels; attach special importance to the establishment of cooperatives with business scopes in line with the local strong points.
